FulfilNET Secures Alliance with Google to Resell AdWords in South Africa

Yodel To Take on Google AdWords Market in South Africa

Sydney, 10 November 2008 – Web advertising provider fulfilNET Australia has announced that it has secured a strategic alliance with Google to sell its AdWords service in South Africa, in a move that will increase competition in that country’s burgeoning online advertising market.

Under the agreement, fulfilNET will market Google AdWords in South Africa, under its brand Yodel. The company already has 7,000 customers in Australia and New Zealand. Yodel is the largest online advertising service provider in these markets.

“This is a significant strategic alliance for Yodel, which will launch us into the international market,’’ said fulfilNET Australia Marketing Director Paul Harvell. “Our motto is that we turn clicks into calls for companies using Google AdWords. We aim to replicate our Australian market leadership in South Africa by deploying our successful model of sales engagement.” 

The AdWords service from Google offers companies pay-per-click advertising solutions and site-targeted advertising for companies wanting to promote their services and products online.  Harvell said the Google AdWords market was booming and he expected South African businesses to increasingly use the service to promote themselves online.

Harvell said it was Yodel’s strong performance that encouraged Google to seal the alliance enabling it to market its AdWords service in South Africa. He said fulfilNET’s unique customer relationship management (CRM) and campaign provisioning systems would bring many benefits to clients in South Africa.  “We’re confident that the South African business market will be just as satisfied with our services as our local customers.”
